This is where we get to know you. Where we learn your story. Where we learn about your business. It’s one of the favorite parts about what we do because we get to spend part of our day listening to you tells us your story.
What if I don’t have a story?
This is a fairly common reaction. It goes something like this; “I don’t have a story. I don’t know what my story is. I don’t have anything exciting about my life or my business, nothing anyone would be interested in.” My response – not true.
I spent more than 20 years as a TV reporter and producer and have yet to meet a person so uninteresting that they didn’t have a story. Is all boils down to two strategies.
How do we find your story?
First, it is knowing the best questions to ask at the right time. And second, it is active listening. When was the last time someone actually listened to what you had to say- soaked it in – and used the right questions to engage you in a conversation about your livelihood, your passions and your goals? This is at the heart of your story becoming our story.
The point of discovery.
During the time we get to connect we eventually get to a point of discovery. This is where your story begins to become clear. Sometimes it doesn’t take long, sometimes it takes a bit longer. But it’s always the first and most important step in producing a powerful video that gets results.
